From the archives: Bali

Here’s the second destination from my archives: Beautiful Bali! Despite of millions of travelers that swamp over the island each year, Bali still kept its spirituality as the only Hindu enclave of Muslim Indonesia. After you escape crazy Kuta, you’ll realise that Bali appeals to all senses: Whether it’s the calming sound of the Gamelan orchestras, the sweet smell of exotic flowers, or the vibrant green of the rice terraces. There are hundreds of temples and shrines of beautiful architecture along the coast and inland (see Tanah Lot and Pura Luhur Batukaru in the gallery). But not only the rich history makes Bali worth a visit: The surf is legendary, hence there’s a lively surfer scene. The ideal place not only to try a new sport but also a whole life philosophy! (But caution: It’s super exhausting!!!)
