Nothing touches us like the untouched…

Nationalpark Gesäuse

… is the motto of Nationalparks Austria and recently I got the chance to visit one of them, in cooperation with Instagramers Austria (a loose community of hobby photographers who gather through Instagram and Facebook groups). The national park Gesäuse in the Styrian alps is dominated by lots of water, rugged mountains, natural forests but also cozy mountain huts with traditional delicacies. And although the weather has been rather on the gloomy side we enjoyed an interesting guided tour and great hospitality!

This is ‘exactly’ what I thought Austria would look like. Beautiful scenery which includes that sweet home and those gorgeous cows. Stunning photos Julia!!

Unfortunately the weather has been typical Austrian too 😉 We enjoyed nevertheless. Thank you!

I think gloomy days is great for hikes since there’s no glaring sun lol. And the mountain hut is so cute!

Agreed! I’m a city girl too, but getting away from time to time is such a relief. Good to have that balance!

    • Reply sileas July 8, 2016 at 10:42 am

Oh cool wohin denn?
