Greetings from the Cape

August 9, 2016
Cape Cod road trip itinerary

What locals simply call the cape actually is the shortcut for Cape Cod, a peninsula and popular summer destination that offers endless sandy beaches, lots of hiking and bike trails and the epicentre of hippie and gay tourism in the artsy town of Provincetown. It supposed to be an easy two-hour drive from Boston but turned out to be four at the end thanks to heavy traffic. Nevertheless the journey was worth it and we figured out an enjoyable Cape Cod road trip itinerary 😉…

Soaking up history and seafood in Boston

August 3, 2016
Boston

I just got back from a little vacation and while others are flocking to the beaches during this time of the year, my trip wasn’t the typical summer destination – but you know – with a bf living far away, your holiday planning becomes pretty straightforward 😉 Although NYC probably will never bore me, it was nice to see a different place which was easy to get into from Europe.…

As I’m not a pro with history I’ll spare you with too many details (which can be read on wiki anyway) and take you on a virtual tour through some amazing castles by the…

Nationalpark Gesäuse

… is the motto of Nationalparks Austria and recently I got the chance to visit one of them, in cooperation with Instagramers Austria (a loose community of hobby photographers who gather through Instagram and Facebook groups). The national park Gesäuse in the Styrian alps is dominated by lots of water, rugged mountains, natural forests but also cozy mountain huts with traditional delicacies. And although the weather has been rather on the gloomy side we enjoyed an interesting guided tour and great hospitality! Which national park would you like…

La dolce vita triestina

What to do in Trieste

A trip to Italy is balm for the soul: This country has a certain magic whether it has to do with the food, the incredibly rich culture or simply their la dolce vita way of life. About Trieste I have a lot of childhood memories (thanks to some relatives who live there) – however I didn’t come back for many many years. Therefore I was excited to see the city with my grown-up eyes together with my beloved friend with…
